About Me

I am a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Missouri and Kansas. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Rockhurst University and my master's degree in clinical social work in 2005 from the University of Kansas. I enjoy working with children (age 12 +), adolescents, adults and families. 

I have 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings, which includes being a teaching parent in an adolescent girls group home, working as a family resource specialist with children and families in residential treatment, and at Crittenton Children's Center as an in home DBT therapist.  I have spent the last several years working in private practice. 

I have received extensive training in DBT and use DBT and mindfulness to help my clients build a stronger sense of self, better manage their emotions, and develop healthier relationship with others. I have completed Level II training in EMDR, which I find as a complimentary treatment modality for clients who have experienced trauma. 

I am 2nd generation Filipino and really enjoy working with clients whose parents have immigrated to the United States. I have discovered that having experienced a similar upbringing can provide a unique connection in therapy. 

Being a full-time working mom keeps me busy. I live with my husband, 2 kiddos and my miniature schnauzer, Greta. I would consider myself a "foodie", love trying new local places in town and enjoy working out.
